This research aims to investigate whether the students who are taught reading in descriptive text through Reciprocal Teaching Method achieve better ability than those Conventional and explain about advantages that will get when using improving students’ comprehension . The design of this study was quasi experimental, control class, pretest-posttest because it conducted two classrooms. subjects tenth grade high school consisting 28 MAN 2 Probolinggo. They divided into classes, namely class consists 14 experimental students. data analysis used Independent T-Test. Based on result calculation post-test from groups, alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. shows use can improve ability. gives more skills compared Method. It proves method With gained Method, easily understand their result, be concluded as an teach reading, so able texts comprehensively. also makes active teaching learning process well.
